Ethel Hedgeman Lyle was an American educator with a forty year career. She was also the Founder of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (ΑΚΑ) at Howard University in 1908. Mrs. Lyle is memorialized in sterling silver on a 7" cultured pearls necklace.
